AKG CS3 DU Delegate Microphone Station – 50cm Gooseneck
The AKG CS3 DU is a professional-grade condenser microphone station engineered for precise speech reproduction in studio and broadcast environments. Its flexible 50cm gooseneck design positions the CS521 cardioid capsule exactly where you need it for optimal mic placement, while the compact form factor and integrated delegate features make it an essential tool for recording sessions, remote interviews, podcasting setups, and content production workflows that demand articulate, consistent vocal and speech capture.
Audio Performance & Specifications
The CS521 cardioid condenser capsule delivers a 50Hz–20kHz frequency response with >80dB SNR and <0.1% harmonic distortion, ensuring clean, transparent sound capture across the full speech spectrum. The cardioid pattern provides controlled off-axis rejection, allowing you to isolate the primary source and manage room reflections effectively in home and project studios where acoustic treatment may be limited.
Build, Connectivity & Delegate Features
Power and control flow directly from the base unit via a 2-meter Plug ‘n’ Play connector cable with DIN 8-pole intercommunication connectivity. The station includes an integrated loudspeaker, two 3.5mm stereo headphone outputs for up to two delegates, and a PTT key for microphone and speaker management, all operating on 24V DC with minimal 3W power consumption.
