AKG WM81 Wiremesh Cap Microlite Cocoa – 5 Pack
These AKG WM81 wiremesh caps snap securely onto compatible lavalier, ear-hook, and headworn microphones, delivering immediate sonic refinement with a subtle warmth and presence peak that flatters vocals, acoustic instruments, and drum overheads. The cocoa-colored wiremesh design controls proximity effect and reduces wind noise, yielding a cleaner, more controlled sound that preserves the natural character of your source. This five-pack provides the flexibility to outfit multiple microphones while keeping spares readily available for any recording session.
Protection & Acoustic Performance
Each cap is engineered to protect the microphone membrane from wind noise, pop noise, and environmental dirt—critical for maintaining pristine recordings in less-than-ideal acoustic environments. The wiremesh construction allows transparent sound capture while effectively minimizing unwanted low-frequency rumble and mechanical noise that can compromise take quality.
Studio Integration & Workflow
The WM81 integrates seamlessly with LC81 MD lavalier, EC81 MD ear-hook, and HC81 MD headworn microphones—standard across broadcast, live sound, and studio recording workflows. Having five caps on hand ensures you can maintain continuous workflow without interruption when swapping between microphones or refreshing protective elements between sessions.
