Overview
The ART C1USB is a side-address, FET cardioid condenser microphone operating within a cardioid polar pattern and featuring a useful digital twist: with its on-board analog-to-digital converter, it plugs directly into your computer via USB 2.0. It also sports a digital-to-analog converter through which you can monitor mic sound and computer playback via 1/8″ / 3.5mm stereo jack—the very same connection point as your Apple or Android device’s headphones port. Thus, this microphone is also an interface for recording and monitoring, with a mix control that allows you to blend computer audio (playback) and microphone input to provide a low-latency recording solution.
