JBL AC28/95 Compact 2-Way Loudspeaker with 2 x 8 LF

JBL AC28/95 Compact 2-Way Loudspeaker with 2 × 8 LF

The AC28/95 is a compact 2-way reference monitor engineered for studio control room applications, small-venue tracking sessions, and portable recording setups where accurate directivity and consistent output are essential. Its dual 8-inch woofer configuration delivers authoritative low-end response in a footprint small enough for flexible placement, while the compression driver high-frequency section ensures clarity across dialogue, music, and critical mix content.

Acoustic Performance for Mixing and Monitoring

This system achieves a 120 dB maximum SPL at 1 meter with 94 dB system sensitivity, delivering substantial monitoring headroom without demanding excessive amplifier power. The 90° × 50° coverage pattern provides controlled directional output ideal for near-field listening and confined studio spaces where coverage precision and reflection management matter.

Build Quality and Connectivity

Constructed from 12 mm and 15 mm exterior grade multi-ply hardwood plywood with Black DuraFlex™ finish, the enclosure is built to withstand the rigors of studio relocation and live tracking environments. Dual Neutrik NL4 plus screw terminal connectors accommodate both professional speakon and traditional wired approaches, while six M8 suspension points enable secure mounting and flexible positioning in any orientation.
