In a recent bout of curiosity we created an AcoustaGlide out of steel then experimented with salt bath nitriding the steel, the end result was our new patented finish Dynamic Diffusion Technology®. Dynamic diffusion Technology enables the widest controllable range of dynamics and tone of any other slide material on the market – Not to mention it enables the most sustain ever! This chemical heat treat process actually diffuses nitrogen over six thousandths of an inch into the slide, thus transforming the slide in to a corrosion resistant dynamically perfect material that is case hardened to over 60 Rockwell. You will notice more sustain mixed with the tonal qualities of both glass and brass slides.
