Modeselektor – Evil Twin – 12 Vinyl

Dance-slaying anthems culled from the massive ‘Monkeytown’ album. Otto von Schirach gets involved on ‘Evil Twin’ for a booty-smashing turn, jacking electro-shock rhythms and searing synths with inimitable, hi-tech dynamics. ‘German Clap’ possibly owes more to swinging UK Funky sounds, all pendulous syncopation and tumultuous builds rendered with a meticulous attention to detail, but the accent is definitely Germanic. Smokin’ trax.
