Sabian 10″ HH Alien Disc
The 10″ HH Alien Disc is a compact effect cymbal engineered to deliver spacey, sizzling textures with remarkable sustain. Originally designed for Will Calhoun, this cymbal records with remarkable clarity and cuts through dense mixes without masking other kit elements. The tight 10-inch format makes it highly responsive and articulate, capturing nuanced dynamics in close-mic and overhead scenarios.
Tone & Sonic Character
Built from solid B20 bronze and finished with hand-hammering for maximum complexity, the Alien Disc produces a distinctly dark, spacey character enhanced by its 12 sizzling rivets (4 rows of 3). The HH Remastered process adds extra hammering and tonal layers compared to standard HH cymbals, delivering unmistakable warmth and texture that translates beautifully to tape and digital recording without losing character through compression.
Construction & Session Versatility
This solid bronze cymbal weighs in as Heavy, contributing to its extended sustain and articulate stick definition—both critical for layering textures in overdub sessions. The hand-hammered construction ensures each cymbal develops its own sonic personality while remaining built to withstand professional session work and protected by SABIAN’s 2-year factory warranty.
