Sabian 14″ AAX Mini Chinese
The Sabian 14″ AAX Mini Chinese delivers a compact, aggressive cymbal that cuts through dense mixes with minimal effort. This thin-weight Chinese cymbal excels in rock, metal, and fusion sessions where raw edge and quick articulation matter more than sustain. The smaller diameter makes it practical for studio setups seeking Chinese cymbal character without the footprint of traditional 18″ or 20″ models.
Sonic Character
Built for a cutting, raw-edged attack with quick decay, this cymbal prioritizes definition and presence in the mix. The thin weight ensures fast response and immediate projection, ideal for sitting on top of loud drum takes or as a secondary crash option in compact recording kit setups.
Design & Build
The 14-inch diameter and thin weight create a highly portable option that maintains authentic Chinese cymbal tonality at a more manageable size for studio work. Part of Sabian’s AAX series, this Model 21416X represents the brand’s evolution in hand-hammered cymbal design.
