Sabian 16″ AAX Aero Crash
The 16″ AAX Aero Crash delivers a bright, cutting response with excellent frequency balance and projection. This cymbal combines Sabian’s AAX X-Plosion raw bell design with an innovative hole pattern to create a fresh voice that cuts through dense mixes while maintaining tonal definition. The cymbal’s responsive character makes it ideal for recording sessions where clarity and articulation need to sit distinctly in the stereo field without muddying adjacent frequencies.
Tone & Character
Built from B20 bronze in a thin weight category, this crash produces a bright sound profile with pronounced cut and articulation. The AAX X-Plosion raw bell combined with the hole pattern engineering creates an ideal balance of frequency response and cutting power. In the mix, it responds transparently to both soft ghost notes and hard-hit accents across a wide dynamic range, tracking cleanly during close-mic’d recording applications.
Construction & Specifications
At 5.00 lbs (approximately 2.3 kg), this 16″ cymbal is moderate in weight for its size. Each cymbal is aged and hand-tested in Sabian’s legendary vault to ensure consistent quality, and the instrument is protected by Sabian’s Two-Year Warranty.
