Sabian 16″ B8X Medium Crash Cymbal
The Sabian 16″ B8X Medium Crash captures fast, solid transients with a bright tone that cuts through dense mixes, making it essential for producing impactful crash accents on recordings. Precision formed, hammered, and lathed for pure, tonally tight sounds, this cymbal delivers the bright, cutting character of bronze at an accessible price point. It’s an ideal introduction to bronze cymbal quality without the premium cost for tracking and overdubbing sessions.
Tone & Recording Character
Bright and cutting with focused projection, the B8X series delivers tight sounds engineered for clarity and presence in the mix. The 16″ Medium weight profile balances quick attack with enough mass to produce substantial accents without excessive washiness, translating cleanly to tape or digital recording.
Construction & Materials
B8 bronze construction combined with multi-step hammering and lathing creates a cymbal designed for durability and consistent tone through repeated takes and overdubs. Computer-hammering over the bow and machine-hammered bell sections ensure precision across the playing surface and predictable on-mic response.
