Seymour Duncan ASB-6N Active Soapbar 6-String Neck Pickup
The ASB-6N is a high-output active neck pickup engineered to capture clarity and punch in the studio without sacrificing articulation across your tracked performances. This soapbar-format pickup delivers responsive dynamics in the neck position, making it ideal for recording sessions that demand definition in lower registers while maintaining tight control over aggressive playing techniques and dynamic range.
Active Circuitry & Tone Shaping
The onboard active preamp provides approximately 1,000 continuous hours of battery life per set, ensuring reliability during extended tracking and overdub sessions. Three-band EQ control—Bass (8), Mid (4), Treble (7)—allows fine-tuned tone shaping directly at the source, letting you dial in anything from scooped lows to enhanced highs without breaking workflow or adding outboard processing during the recording phase.
Design & Specifications
An internal split-blade design paired with ceramic bar magnets creates a 7 kHz resonant peak optimized for neck position tracking, delivering punchy mids and articulate highs that sit well in dense mixes. The pickup comes with a two-conductor cable and all necessary mounting and wiring hardware, making installation straightforward on compatible instruments.
