TASCAM TC-1SGN Solar Powered Instrument Tuner

TASCAM TC-1SGN Solar Powered Instrument Tuner

The TC-1SGN is a compact, pocket-sized tuner that delivers lightning-fast pitch detection in an exceptionally lightweight package. Its slim profile and minimal weight make it unobtrusive clipped to a gig bag, while the shock-proof silicone cover provides rugged protection in demanding studio and live environments. The standout feature is its solar charging capability—the tuner continuously harvests energy from ambient light, eliminating the anxiety of a dead battery mid-session or during critical tracking work.

Power & Portability

Solar cells on the front panel keep the battery topped up during normal use, and a USB charging port provides fast backup charging when needed. Weighing just 1.8oz (51g) and measuring 3.77″ W x 0.71″ H x 1.57″ D, this tuner clips effortlessly to any instrument case or strap using the included nylon attachment hardware, making it an always-ready reference tool in the studio or on the road.

Tuning Accuracy & Display

The wide bar graph display provides instant visual feedback with four distinct display modes—Bar, Fine, Strobe Animation, and Needle—allowing you to choose your preferred tuning interface for quick checks or precision intonation work. One-cent resolution accuracy in Fine mode delivers the precision needed for critical recording sessions and production work, while the chromatic tuner covers the full 12-note equal temperament scale and can be calibrated to external sources.
